Feather Cards...

A brand new challenge has been created this year by Darnell of DjKardkreations
It's called a Twofer Card Challenge
All the details for this challenge can be found HERE

As you can see from the logo, the aim is to make two different cards for two
different occasions, using the same stamps and/or dies.
The theme for this month is 'FEATHERS'

My first card is a Sympathy card.
The products I have used are:-
Feather dies - Purchased from eBay
Cuttlebug 4 die set - Vintage
Britannia Dies - With Sympathy
Josy Rose - Nailheads
Challenges entered:-
Happy Little Stampers January Challenge - Anything Goes with Dies
4 Crafty Chicks - No Winter Blues (No blue colour)
Tuesday Throwdown - Layer it Up
Alphabet Challenge - Use 3 of Something (Dies)

My second card is a 'Just to Say' card for any occasion.
I die cut the feather from the embossed panel and glued a small piece of patterned
paper behind the aperture. I then die cut the feather a few times in plain card
and glued them together to give a bit of depth.
The products I have used are:-
One of the two Sizzix Embossing Folders - Lace Set 2
Stampin' Up - Word Window Punch
Woodware punch - Scalloped Oval
Challenges entered:-
Emerald City Crafts - Anything Goes
Simply Create Too - Use Embossing (Wet or Dry)
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
Challenge up your Life - Embossing Folder

I am entering both cards in the Twofer Card Challenge #1

Thanks for visiting today.

of matt and layering.
(Apologies for the poor lighting in the photo)

The items I have used are:-
Darice - With Sympathy

Challenges entered:-
Southern Girls - Anything Goes

Sympathy Card

Hello, today I'd like to share a sympathy card I made after seeing the idea on Pinterest.
I really like this layout, which can be used for different occasions.
I scored the larger card square diagonally with my Hougie board.
The other squares were die cut and embossed with Spellbinders Nestabilities.
The sentiment was generated on the PC.
Before assembling, I lightly inked the squares and flourish with
distress ink and then placed them on the cream square card base.

The items I have used are:-
Spellbinders Nestabilites - Squares
Cheery Lynn - Fanciful Flourish Die
Hougie Board
Rangers Distress Ink - Tea Dye

I am entering this card into the following challenges:-
Pixie's Snippets Playground - Anything Goes
Crafting from the Heart - Anything Goes
Craft your Passion - Always Anything Goes
My Besties UK Challenge - Anything Goes & Gold
AAA Cards - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking in.

Sympathy Card

Today I thought I would share a sympathy card I made recently, for a friend who lost her sister. They are not the easiest of cards to make, and I wanted to keep it fairly simple, so thought my new embossing folder from Darice would do the trick.
I matted and layered onto purple card, added some punched daisies with pearls to the centres.

The items used are:-
Darice Embossing Folder - Sympathy,
Crafters Companion Die'Sire embossing Folder - Swirl Corner
Hougie Board, X-Cut flower punch

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge:-
Just Us Girls - Word Week, Sympathy
Suzy Bee's Blooming Challenge - Anything Goes with a Twist, Embossing wet or dry

Thanks for looking in.
