Birthday Card - 'Clean and Simple'

Whilst at the Crafting at 'Ally Pally' show in London last month, I watched
a couple of demonstrations using these media plates, which really impressed me.
Back home, I then found some YouTube videos to watch, by John Lockwood and
other crafters and then had a go myself.

After a few attempts, here is a birthday card I made for a 'card-making' friend.

The set contains a square, rectangle, oval and circle and are really easy to use,
and create a lovely effect. I'm going to try using stencils on the plate next.
The products I have used are:-
John Next Door Media Plates
Stamps purchased from eBay
Challenges entered:-
Watercooler Wednesday - Feminine Anything Goes
Papercraft Challenges - Clean and Simple
Ellibelle's Crafty Wednesday - For Ladies or Girls only

I have made this card for a friend who is in hospital

A Christmas Tree Message

Today's card is another Christmas one made for my box.
I used traditional colours this time, although the red backing paper doesn't
look so in the photo!
I used the October challenge sketch over at
Clair and Sharni Get Crafty! Facebook group for the design of my card.
Unfortunately, I embossed the die-cut rectangle using the wrong side of the
embossing folder, so it's the de-bossed side showing, what's known
as a 'happy accident' I think?

The products I have used are:-
Sizzix - Photo Corners #2
Die-Namics - Pierced Rectangles
Crafts Too Embossing Folder - Snowdrops
Christmas Tree and Banner dies purchased from eBay
Home made Card Candi

Challenges I have entered:-

Another 'Clean and Simple' Birthday Card

Today's card is one I have made for my 'spares' box.
I used the September challenge sketch over at
Clair and Sharni Get Crafty! Facebook group for the design of my card.
'That' embossing folder which was so difficult to get hold of when it came out
a while ago, is the perfect shape for this sketch challenge.

I embossed the lower part of the folder in white, and cut away the waste above
the wavy line. I attached it to a piece of embossed aqua card which I embossed
with the Sizzix embossing folder and used my Crop-A-Dile Corner
Chomper to round the two corners.

I used the de-bossed sides of both embossed pieces of card, and glued
them to the base card.
Next I used 3D foam pads to attach the sentiment, and Nuvo drops to decorate.
A very easy and quick card to make.
I have used the following products:-
Embossing Folder - Free gift with craft magazine
One of the two Sizzix Embossing Folders - Lace Set 2
Spellbinders Nestabilities - Circles and Scalloped Circles

Challenges entered:-
Watercooler Wednesday - Gail's "All About Birthdays" Challenge
Glitter 'N' Sparkle - Embossing
Cards in Envy - Easy as 1, 2, 3 Card Challenge
The Corrosive Challenge - Anything Goes
Colour Crazy Challenge - Anything Goes

Hello Sunshine

This week's challenge at Less is More is 'Perfect Holiday'
I used the August challenge sketch over at
Clair and Sharni Get Crafty! Facebook group for the design of my card.

A perfect holiday for me would always include some sunshine amongst a list of other things!
I used some double sided pearlised card to give the sunshine colour to my card, and
I pierced the border of the rectangle card using one of the four stitched border dies from Lawn Fawn.
The products I have used are:-
Lawn Fawn - Spring Showers and Stitched Borders
Spellbinders Nestabilities - Circles and Scalloped Circles
My Favourite Things/Die-Namics - Hello There
