Female CAS Birthday Card

Today's card is one I made for my friend who celebrated her birthday yesterday.

As I haven't made a card using just black and white in such a long time,
I thought I'd give it a try. I came across a design similar to this on Pinterest.

Using snippets of black and white card from my stash, (which I seem to
have lots of!) I die-cut the circle burst die on the white card, and mat and
layered it onto a piece of  black card,

Next I stamped the sentiment and added the punched flower using some
embossed white dot card. To finish, I added a black gem to each corner.

The products I have used are:
Memory Box - Small Circle Burst
Julie Hickey I Need - Everyday Sentiment
Tonic Studio punch - Retro Flower
Crafts-Too mini punch - Daisy

I am entering this card into Snippets Playground #420 - Anything Goes

Stinkin' Inkers Challenge - Theme is 'Thankful'

Today, the card I am sharing is my first one made for the
Stinkin' Inkers design team.
The challenges are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month and run until
8 pm (EST)
the last Friday of the month
The challenge blog is all about FUN and FELLOWSHIP, but from time to time
there may be a little prize offered.

All the challenge details can be found HERE.

This month's theme is 'Thankful' and here is my design team card.
I used pearlescent card for the embossed panel, placing diamante
gems into the centres of the flowers.
I die cut the sentiment in navy and mirror card, adhering them together,
slightly off setting them.
Next I stamped the sentiment, die-cut it using one of the tags, and then glued to a
piece of navy card cutting around the tag to form a frame.
Lastly, I added the punched flower and leaves and diamante gems.

Female Birthday Card

Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for a good friend and neighbour,
who celebrated her birthday this week.

After cutting the trellis die on a separate piece of card, I glued a small piece
of patterned paper directly onto the card base to show behind the trellis.
After scoring the card and stamping the sentiment, I then used pieces of 3D foam strip
to raise the card above the patterned paper, and to allow the foliage and flowers to be added.

The products I have used are:-
Trellis die - purchased from eBay
Spellbinders Die D-Lites - Sprigs
Tonic Studios Punch - Small Daisy
Sentiment Stamp - free with Craft Magazine
Scor-Buddy
