70th Birthday Card

Today I am sharing the birthday card I made for my sister for her 70th birthday.

I recently made a Christmas card using a set of the Rubber Stamp Tapestry stamps
which you can see HERE, so I decided to make a similar card using the Ginger Hearts set.

I found that by stamping on a faintly drawn pencil circle, it made it easier for me
to create the wreath. I die-cut the numbers in both card and foam, glued them
together to give some dimension.
The products I have used are:-
Rubber Stamp Tapestry Stamps - Ginger Hearts
Cuttlebug Alphabet - Olivia
Pierced square dies - Brand unknown

Challenges entered:
Watercooler Wednesday  - All About Occasions
Crafty Gals Corner - Easter/Spring
Little Red Wagon - Smell the Roses
Sisterhood of Crafters - How does your garden grow?
Paper Funday - Anything Goes - Optional Spring has Sprung
Ike’s World - Springtime/Anything Goes

My Time To Craft Christmas Challenge #003 - Wreaths

A new challenge starts today over at  My Time to Craft Christmas
where the theme this fortnight is ‘Wreaths’

Sharing my design team card...
The details of the challenge can be found HERE

I have a few sets of these wooden peg stamps, which I purchased
many years ago when I first started card-making. I am embarrassed
to say that they have hardly been used.

I started by drawing a circle very lightly with pencil onto the square card.
Next, I built up the wreath starting with the poinsettias, then the green foliage
and lastly the gold. I stamped the sentiment, added the Nuvo Drops to the centres of the
poinsettias, then I mat and layered it onto green card, and glue-ing that directly
onto the card base. Lastly, I added the diamante gems.

The products I have used are:-
Tapestry Rubber Stamps - Holiday Garden Border
Uniko - Simply Said II
Challenges entered:-
ABC Christmas Challenge - C for Christmas Carols/D for Diamond
 (diamantes, diamond glitter, etc)
Watercooler Wednesday - All About Occasions
Christmas Crafts All Year Round - include something starting with C and/or D

Thank you for visiting my blog today.

A Female ‘Eclipse’ Style Birthday Card

Today, I am sharing the birthday card I made recently for my sister,
which I really enjoyed making. I love the effect of the partially stamped letters
set against the de-bossed background.
I found the design on Pinterest.
I started by drawing round the letter dies on a snippet of white card, and then
stamping each letter randomly with the peg dies (which I have had for many
years, which I bought individually at an Ally Pally craft fair), and the flower
stamp from the Stampin’ Up set, using three different coloured inks.

Next I die-cut the letters and mounted each one on foam. I then de-bossed the
card base and stamped the sentiment. After carefully positioning the letters
and adhering them to the card, I then added the ribbon and diamanté gems.
The products I have used are:-
Rubber Stamp Tapestry Wooden Peg stamps
Stampin’ Up - Itty Bitty Buds
Ranger Ink Letter It - Birthday
Crafts-Too Embossing Folder - Snowdrops
Alphabet dies - Brand unknown
Challenges entered:-
Arty Divas - Anything Goes
