A Crocheted Throw/Blanket for my Nephew

Today, I am sharing a crocheted throw/blanket I made earlier in the year
for one of my nephews who is a life long West Ham football supporter!

I used the lovely textured Textured Trebles stitch which I found HERE on
the 'Blossom Crochet' YouTube channel.

Rebekah’s tutorials are really easy to follow and she has lots of different
crochet stitches to share.

I started by deciding how wide I wanted the throw to be and using a
 6mm crochet hook I chained 120 stitches.

I then crocheted the two row repeat pattern until I reached the desired length.

I finished by crocheting a border of one row of double crochet, four rows of
half trebles, one row of slip stitch and one row of half trebles.

I purchased the yarn from Hobbycraft
using 9 x 100g balls of Women's Institute Premium Acrylic
5 in ‘Plum’ and 4 in 'Turquoise'

Birthday Card for my Great Niece

Today, I am sharing the birthday card I made for my great niece.
She still very much likes playing tennis (along with other sports), so I was
pleased to find this image online to use.

After printing it onto white card, I used the square 'circle border'
die to cut it out and matted it to a pink card square.

I embossed the card base using the lattice embossing folder, and used
3D foam to raise the tennis image on the card base.

Lastly, I printed the computer generated sentiment, die cut it with
the banner die and glued to a piece of pink card and cut a narrow
border freehand and added the number.

The products I have used are:
Crafters Companion Die'Sire Embossaliscious Embossing Folder - Lattice
Marianne Designs - Mini Numbers
Square 'Circle Border' & banner die - Brand unknown

Female Birthday Card

Today I am sharing the card I made for my friend’s birthday
last week.

Using a piece of pink linen textured card, I embossed it with the 3D embossing
folder and cut to size.

I then carefully moved a white ink pad across the embossed parts to catch the
edges of the petals.
I glued it directly onto the card base, and attached the die-cut computer
generated sentiment using 3d foam pads.

To finish, I added a few pearl gems.

Birthday Card for my Great Nephew

May and June are busy cardmaking months with five family birthdays!

Today, I am sharing the card I made for one of my great nephews.
This year I decided to come away from the usual tractors and made
him a football themed card in West Ham colours who he likes.

I partly embossed the card base with the Crafters Companion Football
Crazy embossing f
older, and then used my Hougie board to emboss two lines.

I found a free football image which I printed on blue lightweight card
to use as a backing paper, which I matted onto white card with
the edges coloured with a claret Promarker. I attached it to
the card base using 3D foam.

I used a football die on black card, glued it to
some white card and hand cut, and then die-cut the number
in claret card to mount on top of the football.

The sentiment is computer generated.

competition last year, but have not used until now.
I used the folder directly on the card base, and glued a panel of
lemon card on the inside.

I then stamped the sentiment in silver ink, and die-cut it using the frame-lit die.
Next, I glued it to the lemon card die-cut using the labels die and then
used 3D foam squares to attach it to the centre of the card base.
Lastly, I added two diamanté gems to finish.

Sweet Winter Blanket crocheted for my Sister

Today, I am sharing the blanket/throw I crocheted for my sister earlier this year.

I made it using the pattern for the Sweet Winter blanket, designed
by Sue Rawlinson also known as ‘Sweetpea Family’ on Facebook and Instagram

You can find the original blanket I made HERE and another I made in
neutral colours for my niece HERE

I purchased Sue's pattern from Love Crafts which you can find HERE

I purchased the yarn online from the Wool Box HERE

I asked my sister which colours she would like, and she chose these
to co-ordinate with her lounge.

The pattern uses 9 x 100g balls of Stylecraft Special DK and I
used the following shades:
Cream, Mustard, Turquoise, Teal, and Mocha

I really love crocheting this pattern, and I'm sure I will make
another in the future using different colours.

A Crocheted Throw/Blanket for my Great Niece

Today, I am sharing another crocheted throw/blanket I have made for one
of my great nieces.

I am really enjoying this new hobby, so my plan is to make a throw for
each family member, (both female and male, young and old) but only if they
would like one of course!

So, that's 21 in total, and I've made 10 so far,
3 of which I still have to share with you.
Maybe by this time next year, they will all be completed!

I used the lovely textured Suzette stitch which I found HERE on
the 'Blossom Crochet' YouTube channel.
Rebekah’s tutorials are really easy to follow and she has lots of different
crochet stitches to share.

I started by deciding how wide I wanted the throw to be and
chained 142 stitches. I then crocheted the one row repeat pattern
until I reached the desired length.

I finished by crocheting a border of three rows of half trebles and
two rows of double crochets.

I purchased the yarn online from The Wool Box
using eight 100g balls of Stylecraft Special DK in the colour ‘Fondant’

A ‘Clean and Simple’ Masculine Birthday Card

Sharing a 'clean and simple' card today made for a friend
who celebrated his birthday earlier this month.

I used Pinterest again to give me some inspiration, which I
seem to be lacking at the moment.

I used the deckle squares to cut a panel in white card, glued it to the
card base, then cut half a square in grey and glued that on top.

Using my Misti stamping platform, I stamped the birthday sentiment in
black ink.

I die-cut the 'happy' in black card and black 3d foam, glued them
together and positioned it at an angle above the stamped birthday.

The products I have used are:
My Favourite Things - Label Maker Sentiments #1
Lawn Fawn Script - Happy
Deckle edge square dies - Brand unknown

Table Place Cards

I was recently asked by a friend if I could make some table place cards
for a special birthday lunch.

The colour scheme for the event was rose gold, and I found some
lovely glitter card in Hobbycraft to use.

My friend also came up with the idea to include her guests menu choices
on the inside of the card. This helped with everyone knowing what they
had pre-ordered and of course when folded over, it helped the waiting staff too!

The leaf die-cut was glued directly onto the card base, and I used 3D foam pads
for the name.

The products I have used are:
Spellbinders Nestabilities Rectangles and Scalloped Rectangles
Leaf die - Brand unknown
Hobbycraft - Rose Gold Glitter Effect Card
