90th Birthday Gifts

Today, I am sharing some gifts I made for my friend’s Mum’s 90th birthday.
I have known Joan since I was 5 years old, and was so pleased to be invited to
her birthday tea party last month.

Unfortunately, the original plans had to be changed due to the virus,
but thankfully, she was still able to celebrate with six family and friends
at a time, on a rota basis over the weekend.

The fabric used is from a set of fat quarters from Aldi’s.

The box and tissue holder are designs from Sew Totally Trisha.
Her free tutorials can found on YouTube here...

The Hand Sanitizer Pod is designed by Spencer Ogg

A Hand Sanitiser Holder

Over the weekend, I came across a sewing pattern on YouTube to make a
very useful hand sanitiser holder to attach to the inside or outside
of a handbag, rucksack or belt.

I had some material leftover from the bag I made HERE
so thought I'd have a go at making the holder.
The pattern is Diane's design from Spencer Ogg
and can be found - HERE
Her YouTube instructions are easy to follow and the pattern can be
adjusted to a larger or smaller size to hold glasses or lip balm.
I then realised I had enough material to make a matching face mask.
I'm sure I'll be making a few more of these which would make great gifts for
friends and family. They are also a great way of using up any leftover pieces
or scraps of material.
