Eclipse Birthday Card for my Great Niece

Here is the card I made earlier this month for one of my great nieces.
for her 12th birthday.
She loves playing tennis, and is a member of a local tennis club so I
thought this Hunkydory image would be perfect for her.

Before mat and layering the image onto the pink card, I die-cut
her name into the image, and used black 3D foam to raise
the letters.

The products I have used are:-
Hunkydory - The Second Little Book of Decoupage
Papermania Clare Curd's Signature range - Sentiments
Alphabet dies - Brand unknown

Z-Fold Card

Today, I am sharing the birthday card I made recently for my nephew.
This is my first try at making a Z-fold card, after seeing a few on different blogs.

card in my stash.  I glued them together by slightly offsetting them, which makes
them stand out more against the tan card and checked paper.

Sentiment stamp - Craft magazine free gift

A Diamond Top Card

Today, I am sharing my very last card

I have really enjoyed being part of this wonderful design team for the last year,
which has found me learning so much from the other fabulous ladies
and of course, making new friendships.

Thanks to Dani, the owner of Dies R Us, for giving me this great opportunity and
a big thank you to Darlene, the design team coordinator. She is one amazing team leader!

So, onto my Diamond Top card. I found some very easy instructions to follow on
Christina Griffith's blog HERE, where you will find she has also put together a short video.

Here is my card base after scoring and folding at the required measurements.
Next, using the Large Cross Stitched Square Stackables from Lawn Fawn
I cut a square from blue card and glued it to the diamond top, followed by a smaller
square Nestabilities die from Spellbinders.

I then made up one of the styles of cupcake from the Sizzix Triplets - Cupcakes,
and glued it to the centre of the diamond top.

For the lower part of my card I cut a piece of blue card and a smaller piece of yellow card.

For the embossing of the yellow card, I used a technique I came across on
Jennifer McGuire's blog HERE, using the Lawn Fawn - Stitched Borders.
She has used these dies in various ways with such a great effect.
Connie from the Design Team also used this technique for her card HERE

Keeping the four dies connected, I placed them onto the card using low tack tape,
and run it through my die cutting machine.
I continued doing this, until the whole piece was embossed.
I then glued it to the blue card and glued it to the base card.
Lastly, using Papermania Sentiment Stamps  - Clare Curd's Signature Range,
I stamped my sentiment onto yellow card, used one of the
Then, using the same die, I drew around the outer edge on blue card,
cut with scissors and used as a matt for the sentiment.

I placed it in position with 3D foam pads, and then added the diamantes.

Challenges entered:-
Ooh La La - Layer It Up
Dragonfly Dreams - Girly with Die Cut/Punch
Allsorts Challenge - Cakes, Cupcakes and Sweet Treats
Southern Girls Challenge - Use a Die Cut
Simon Says - Use More than One Die or Punch

65th Male Birthday Card

Hello, here's a card I was asked to make recently for a 65 year old male
who had no particular hobbies. I played it safe and used just the numbers of
his birthday as the focal image of the card.

I first attached the blue patterned paper to card, stamped both numbers,
carefully cut them, then edged each number with black Promarker as I had used white card!
I attached the square of co-ordinating paper to a piece of dark blue card, which I had first punched each corner using a photo corner punch, so the paper could be easily slotted in.
I then used 3D foam pads to attach the numbers, die cut the banner,
added a peel off sentiment and some punched circles of paper across each corner.

Items I have used are:-
Papermania large number stamps,
Spellbinders Shapeabilities - Ribbon Banners
EK Success Corner Adorner punch - Photo corner

I am entering this card into the following challenges:-
Crafty Gals Corner - Anything Goes
Cardz 4 Guyz - Numbers
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Aud Sentiments - Birthday
Brown Sugar - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking in.
