Another Quilted Box!

Here’s another quilted box I made recently, for one of my great nephew’s.
He loves anything to do with trucks, diggers and playing with sand!
I had been looking everywhere for some suitable fabric, so I was really
pleased to find this ‘Nutex trucks and diggers‘ fat quarter on eBay.
The co-ordinating coloured felt is from The Range.

I do enjoy making these quilted boxes, especially when I can personalise
 them with special fabric.

This quilted box is part of the Beginners Sewing class with Claire
at Beautiful Things which is available as an online course.

Male Birthday Card

I recently had a request from a friend, to make a birthday card for her son.
He is in his late thirties and has recently got himself a scooter.

As I like to try and personalise my cards wherever possible, I was really
pleased to find this silhouette image on the internet which I thought would
be perfect to use!
I found some black and white patterned paper in my stash, which I edged
with a black Promarker and glued to the card base.
I then die cut the image, using one of the Spellbinders Nestabilities
Reverse Wonky rectangle dies, and used 3D foam to raise it on the
card. The stitched banner sentiment is computer generated.
Challenges entered:
C.R.A.F.T Challenge - Sport/Leisure
And Sentiment - Anything Goes + A Sentiment

A Captain America Quilted Box

Captain America is one of my great nephew’s favourite characters. As he has a
Captain Marvel themed decorated bedroom, I thought it would be nice if I could
make him something to go in it.

I had been looking for a while for some fabric, and was pleased to
find a fat quarter being sold on eBay.

I do enjoy making these little boxes, especially as they are quick
projects to make, and Owen was very pleased with it.
