Thinking of You Card

Today, I am sharing a stamped card, which is really something just a little
 bit different for me.

I love using my embossing folders and dies in my card making,
but I am not very adventurous, when it comes to stamping and inking.
Although I have quite a few stamps, they certainly don't get used very often.
I now have a Misti, which I love using and is really helping me.
There are so many lovely cards on blogs and Pinterest, that I thought it was about
time I moved out of my comfort zone to give it a try.

The stencil I have used, (I'm embarrassed to say) is one
that I've had for absolutely ages and has remained sealed in it's packaging!
For my first attempt, I am really quite pleased with the result.
I think it will definitely be going into my spares box!

Products I have used:-
Die-Namics - Pierced Rectangles
Memory Box Stencil - Textured Honey Comb
Penny Black stamp - 3122K Sunshine
Sentiment stamp - Craft magazine freebie
Distress inks - Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade

Challenges entered:-
Happy Little Stampers - Blend and CAS
Colour Crazy Challenge - Anything Goes
Kitty Bee Designs - Spring Cleaning (use something forgotten about)
Crafting from the Heart - Anything Goes
The Paper Nest Dolls - Anything Goes
Addicted to Stamps - Stamped Image and Stamped Sentiment

Thanks for stopping by.

  8. It is beautiful, so glad you went outside the box and used a stencil you hadn't used and did some stamping, your embossing is pretty to frame it too!

  9. The inked background on this is fabulous with the flower silhouette Janice! I can relate to having things tucked away that have never seen any use. I think we're probably all guilty of that to one degree or another. I should follow your lead and start using things I've never tried. So glad for the inspiration!
