Apologies to you....

....for being an absent blogger just recently.

I have been taking care of my husband who has been poorly for the last few weeks.
Sadly, he passed away very peacefully last Wednesday evening.

Although I knew this was going to be the outcome one day from his illness,
it has all happened very quickly.
I have lost my best friend of 40 years, who I was married to for 36 years.
I consider myself very fortunate to have spent so many years together with a wonderful
man, and I have many happy memories to look back on of our life together.

I still have some things to arrange, but I know I will soon be returning to
my craft room to keep myself occupied, as I know crafting is a wonderful
hobby to help at this time.

I also look forward to looking at your lovely blogs again and leaving comments
on your crafty makes.

  7. Hi Janice,
deepest condolences on your sad news.
My thoughts are with you and your family at this very sad time.
You take care and never worry about blogging as that always takes a back seat to life and family.
I can understand how you are feeling as I lost my first husband, but sadly we only had 14 years together.
Love and big comforting hugs. Jenny L.

  25. Oh Janice, I just heard this terrible news from Di's blog. I am so, so, sorry to hear this sad news. I can say I know how you feel as I lost my 52 year old husband a year and a half ago. Yes, being thankful for the years you had together is a good focus. Crafting is a good focus too if you are able. I struggled in that area as I would craft while my husband farmed. And it just made me feel like he was going to walk through the door any minute. But it is good therapy and keeps the mind busy. Staying busy is key! Everyone heals and mourns in their own way and the best advice I can give you is what was given to me and that is don't let anyone say you should be done mourning by a certain time. Take as long as you need!! If you need someone to talk to I will be more than happy to talk with you by email. It is on my blog under my "about me". Sending my love, super big warm hugs, and my prayers to you Janice. Hugs, Brenda
