A new card technique for me.....Iris Folding!

Today I thought I'd share a card I made last week whilst away on holiday at
Potters Resort, Hopton on Sea.

We had a great five day family break there, with my sister, two nephews,
their wives, and their four children.

There are plenty of leisure activities, swimming, sports and clubs to take part in
for all ages, as well as it's very close to the beach which we went along to for
 two of the mornings.
My sister (who is also a card maker) and I decided to go along to a
card making class, neither of us really knew what to expect, especially
as it was free of charge.

We were both pleasantly surprised to find we were making an Iris fold card, as
this was a new technique to try for both of us.
After having a demonstration from the tutor, we chose the card shape we
wanted to make from about 20 different designs, the coloured papers
we wanted to use, and we set off making the card.

We studied the card pattern, decided which coloured papers we wanted where,
then we started folding and sticking!

Here is the card I made, which still needs a sentiment to be added, but I have to say
I'm really pleased with it for a first attempt, I may even have another try one day!

Thanks for looking in.
