A Bowl Cosy

My latest make is a bowl cosy, which comes in very handy when I catch
up on the morning news in front of the television, eating my porridge!
There are lots of tutorials available on YouTube.
I used this one HERE by the Crafty Gemini.

The pattern can be adapted for the size of your bowls.
By turning your bowl over, measure with a tape measure from the edge,
all the way over and down to the other edge. Then by adding one inch, this will give
you the size squares you will need for the inside, outer fabric and the wadding.

I used two co-ordinating fabrics from an Aldi fat quarter pack.
Thank you for visiting my blog today.

  1. Very useful to keep your hands from getting burnt too Janice, those bowls get hot. A fantastic make.

  4. How pretty is that fabric! I was gifted a bowl cozy at Christmas and I love it! It's also really useful for holding those little pints of Ben & Jerry's ice cream so your hands don't freeze while indulging. Ask me how I know that.... :0)

  7. I bought one of these at a craft store for my hubby to use at work when he heats up his dinners there, but he keeps telling me I need to make some for here at home, thanks for sharing your lovely creation!
