I had a go at the weekend in making a 'shoulder protector' for my dress, using fabric
from a reduced priced duvet cover I purchased a few months ago. I noticed these are
also called 'Shoulder Dust Covers'
also called 'Shoulder Dust Covers'
I adapted a pattern I found on Pinterest to fit the shape of my coat hanger, but as
you can see, I made it far too small. I didn't allow enough seam allowance when
cutting my pattern, but you get the general idea.

These will be so useful to use in my wardrobe, that my next attempt will be made
larger, and using prettier fabric, which I will decorate with ribbon or lace.
This is when scrap material is so useful to use to practice on.
Thank you for visiting my blog today.

Way to go adapting the pattern for this, it may be a little tight but you did an excellent job and good that you had some fabric that you can try it out first!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea Janice, very useful.
