A Fundraising 'Make and Take' Day

Yesterday, I went along to a local card-making 'Make and Take' fundraiser
where I spent a lovely couple of hours making cards with other 'crafting' ladies.

All the funds raised are donated to St.Luke's Hospice in Basildon.
This charity is one which is very close to my heart and where my husband spent
his last few days being cared for by their amazing doctors and nurses.

The card packs are put together by the very talented Karen, Kay and Gill and you
can choose to make as many of them as you like, making donations for each card made.

Free tea/coffee and cake is served as part of the entrance fee and a raffle is also held.

Here is the first card I chose to make which was designed by Karen.
Later on in the afternoon, I used Karen's design and made
this card for my spares box.
It's certainly a great way of using up the scraps of card or paper
we all accumalate.

The products I have used are:-
Spellbinders Nestabilities Decorative Elements - Lacey Circles
The topper and strips of card were a free gift from Hunkydory
which I have had in my stash for a few years!
Challenges entered:-
Creative Fingers - Anything Goes
Crafty Gals Corner - Add a Flower
Double 'D' Challenge - May Flowers

I will show the other two cards I made over the next few days.

Thank you for visiting today.
