Nothing craft related today...

...just recommending a very good set of books to read.
Since losing my husband earlier this year, I have found my cardmaking to be a great
help in keeping me busy and my mind occupied.
Over the last few months, I have got back into reading again, which has also been a great help.
I have had this set of books downloaded on my Kindle for a while now, so after reading the
first one, I couldn’t wait to start the second, then the next one and so on.
I’ve just completed reading them all, and I have to say it was like reading one very
long book, and was a most big brilliant read.

Now I am about to start a set of ‘DS Roy Grace, books written by Peter James.
If you have any recommendations, I would love to hear from you.

Thanks for stopping by, I will back with a design team card tomorrow.

  1. OOooh I looooooove Jeffrey Archer! I used to read all the time, crafting takes over these days. Years ago I read him a lot though, one that stands out is; Not A Penny More, Not A Penny Less. I may have to dig it out as we are heading out on a vacation next week....that's the only time I read now lol Enjoy! xo~

  2. I love reading, always have a book on the go, but I only like paper books, not a kindle. I love Harlan Coben, Linwod Barclay, Elly Griffiths and James Patterson.

    1. I found a Kindle easier to handle whilst commuting to work standing on the train, plus taking it on holiday. Thanks for your suggestions, I’ll add them to my list xx

  7. I love my Kindle Janice! I read a really wide variety of books - currently reading 'Finding Gobi' - true story about a man running an endurance marathon in China who is befriended by a litte running companion dog for many miles of the race - and then his quest to find her when she got lost and bring her back to the UK. Aw - I need to get my lead and imaginary dog out for a walk - although it's cold and windy down here in Hampshire tonight. At the other end of the scale I do like a bit of chick lit - in fact I used to read the back of the cereal packet whilst sitting at the kitchen table having breakfast as a child. If it's words then count me in!!

I hope Christmas was OK for you honey. xx

  8. I am halfway through the Roy Grace series Janice, they are brilliant highly recommend them. Also as Marianne says Linwood Barclay and Harlan Coben are must reads too, another one is Chris Carter... I could go on and on lol
I must admit I wouldn't use a Kindle myself though, there is something about turning that first page on a real book that just can't be beaten :)
    Hugs Kaz xx
