Today, I am sharing the cards I made for my nephew and great nephew

slightly different due to the poor lighting at the moment.

A Crocheted Throw/Blanket for my Niece

Today I am sharing a crocheted throw I made recently for one of my nieces.

I knew she would like one made in a light grey yarn, so when I saw
Blossom Crochet had used this King Cole Beaches yarn
on one of her projects HERE, I knew it would be perfect for my niece's throw.

I especially love the pattern of the variegated shades of grey and white
when it's crocheted.

I used the lovely textured Cluster Kisses stitch which I found HERE on
the 'Blossom Crochet' YouTube channel.

Rebekah’s tutorials are really easy to follow and she has lots of different
crochet stitches, tips and techniques to share, so I would really recommend you
visit her channel for lots of inspiration.

You can also follow her on Instagram HERE
I started by deciding how wide I wanted the throw to be and using a
4mm crochet hook I chained 142 stitches.

I then crocheted the two row repeat pattern until I reached the desired length.

I finished by crocheting a border of one row of double crochet, five rows of
half trebles, and one row of crab stitch.

I purchased the yarn from Little Wool Shop
using 8 x 100g balls of King Cole Beaches DK in 'Shell Beach'

Eclipse Birthday Card for my Great Niece

Today I am sharing the birthday card I made for one of my great nieces
who loves gymnastics.

I found this free image on the internet, printed it onto card and using the alphabet dies,
I die-cut her name. I then matted the image onto blue card.

Next I embossed the card base and glued the image directly onto it.
I then die-cut the letters using 3D foam, glued them to the card letters,
and then glued them directly into place on the picture.

Lastly, I added the birthday sentiment and the number.

The products I have used are:
Crafter's Companion 'Textures' Embossing Folder - Distress
Marianne Designs - Mini Numbers
Presscut - Happy Birthday
Alphabet dies - Brand unknown

Birthday Card for my Great Niece

Today, I am sharing the card I made for one of my great nieces
for her 15th birthday.

As she loves singing, I thought this free silhouette image I found
on the internet would be perfect for her.

After embossing the card base with the musical notes folder, I added two
embossed lines using my Scor-Buddy.
I then mat and layered the die-cut image with pink and black card.
I used 3D foam pads to attach it to the card.

Lastly, I added the die-cut computer generated sentiment and the
punched pink circles.

The products I have used:
Crafts-Too Embossing Folder - Musical Notes
The Works - Pierced Squares
Pennant die - Brand unknown
EK Success Punch - Small Circle
Sentiment - Computer generated
