It's a Wrap!

Hello, today I am sharing my latest design team make
for the Dies R Us Inspirational Blog - A Chocolate Bar Wrapper!

I think it's nice to give as a small thank you gift to someone or maybe to cheer them up.

I first saw the idea on my friend Christine's blogs HERE and HERE, where she has made
a selection of wrappers for all sorts of occasions and got me started on them!

I first cut a piece paper of My Mind's Eye from the Wild Asparagus 8"x 8"paper pack to the size of the chocolate bar - 8"x 6" ensuring the two edges overlapped to stick together, on the underneath.

Next I ran a green Promarker along each long side and wrapped it around the
chocolate bar, using double sided tape to join together at the back.
With the Sue Wilson Designs - Petite Peony Cluster die, I die cut the larger die in
cream card and the peony die in plum card. This I did twice.
Next I glued the plum peonies behind the cream ones on the flourish.
With the second set, I did exactly the same, but this time I snipped off the foliage.

Using 3D foam pads, I attached them to the flourish.

Next, using the Sizzix - Framelits 'Hello' set of dies and stamps, I stamped
the 'for you' and die cut it with the smaller die of one of the pairs of frames and cut the
larger die in plum card to matt it.

Lastly, I added a couple of punched butterflies and some diamantes to finish.

Here are the dies I have used:-

Challenges entered:-
Creative Craft Cottage - Must use Flowers
The Paper Girls Challenge - Patterned Paper
Crafty Calender Challenge - Something New (Sizzix Framelit Dies)
Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Dies and Punches
Craft for the Craic - Pick Me Up!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Check back daily for more great inspiration from the girls on the design team.

Why not check out all the fabulous dies available at the Dies R Us store AND,
don't forget we have a Dies R Us Challenge Blog too!

A new challenge is offered on the 1st and 15th of each month with a PRIZE VOUCHER
offered to the lucky winner of each challenge.

A Female 'CAS' Card

Today I'm sharing  my latest design team card
made for the Dies R Us Inspirational Blog.

All the details on how I made the card can be found HERE

I made this card recently for a friend who loves fancy umbrellas, so
I thought this Bugaboo digi image would be perfect for her, which I coloured myself with Promarkers. This is another one I selected as part of my recent prize.

I started with a card base measuring 4.5" x 5.75"

Taping the largest die from the Lawn Fawn - Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables
onto the card front with low tack tape, I ran it through my die cut/embossing
machine to emboss the frame onto the card.

Here is how the front looks after embossing the frame.

Next, using the Budding Vine embossing folder from Craft Concepts, I embossed a
smaller piece of white card, matt and layered it onto some lilac
card and glued it directly to the card base..

I used a darker lilac piece of card for the Lawn Fawn - Say Cheese Die, glued
the coloured image into the window, and added some twine.

I attached it to the card front with 3D foam tape, added some sequins and
enamel dots to finish.

Here are the items I have used:-

Challenges entered:-
Crafty Sentiments Designs - Dies, dies and more dies!
Stamp Art Papel Retarte 92 - Anything Goes
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Try it on Tuesday - Anything but Square
Tuesday Throwdown - Anything Goes
Colouring in Scrapland - Anything Goes
Love to Scrap- Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by.

A Poppy Card

Today I am sharing my latest design team card

I started with an A5 card base and placed the Sue Wilson Designs - Gemini Collection/Lyra
on the right hand edge of the card and ran it through my die cutting machine.
Next I glued a piece of red card behind the cut edge, and added some score lines
to the remaining front of the card.

Using the Memory Box - Prim Poppy Die, I die cut four poppies in red and green card.

I then snipped the red poppy heads away from their stems and glued them to the green ones.

I then positioned them onto the card, cutting away a couple of pieces of stem from one of them, and then glued them to the card.

Using the Memory Box - Precious Daises die, I cut the smaller bow in red card, glued it
to the poppy stems, adding a diamante to the centre.

I have not added a sentiment just yet, as I think this card can be used for different
occasions e.g. Birthday, Anniversary, Get Well and Sympathy.

These are the dies I have used:-

Challenges entered:-
Create and Makes - Anything Goes
Everybody Art Challenge - Anything Goes
