Female Birthday Card

I recently attended an all day card-making work shop run by two crafting friends.
It's a popular, fun day to attend, where we make approximately 10 cards,
chat and craft in between eating home made cake and lunch!

Today I am sharing one of the cards I made, which I gave to my
next door neighbour for her birthday.
We used Distress inks and the negative of the leaf die to create the background panel.
Then we stamped leaves randomly across the panel.
Next, after colouring in the die-cut leaf, I matt and layered the panel,
stamped the sentiment and added two leaves punched from inked paper which
were supplied to us.

The products I have used are:-
Stampendous Jumbo Leaf stamp and die
Sentiment stamp - Brand unknown
Challenges entered:-
Allsorts Challenge - Blossoms, Butterflies, Bugs
Brown Sugar - Spring or Fall
Moving Along with the Times - That Spring Feeling
Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes
Moo Mania and More - Spring Fever

Thank you for visiting today.

Gift Box

After making the Easter treat bags, I thought I would try making a gift box.
As the Easter weekend weather was mainly wet here in the UK, I spent yesterday
sorting my wood mounted stamps, which I have had for quite a few years, I also watched
Sam from Pootles YouTube video's on "box making"
This is my take on Sam's one HERE
She makes some fabulous boxes, bags and containers as well as
cards of course. It's certainly worth popping over to her blog to take a look.

I stamped on my measured piece of card using Versamark, before
following the scoring instructions.
I'm fairly pleased with my first attempt, but there's definitely
a need for more practice!

The products I have used are:-
Stampendous wood mounted stamp - Q130 Fresh Bloom
Art Impressions Leaf stamp - AA-1382
Personal Impressions stamp - Just For You
Spellbinders Nestabilities - Circles and Scalloped Circles
Challenges entered:-
Alphabet Challenge - A for Anything but a Card

Star in my Pocket Challenge - Throw on the Flowers
Brown Sugar Challenge - Spring or Easter

A 'Thank You' Card

Welcome to my new followers, and thank you for joining me here.
A friend recently asked if I could make a thank you card for her.
As I was a little short of time, I made this very quick ‘clean and simple’ one.
Before stamping the sentiment, I left the card in the die and lightly inked with
the Tumbled Glass distress ink, which leaves a nice white edge to the die cut.

Materials used:-
Lawn Fawn - Large Cross Stitched Square Stackables
Square Dies - Purchased from eBay
Stampendous - Thank You
Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass
Challenges entered:-
Cardz 4 Guyz - January Blues
A Gem of a Challenge - Cool in Blue
Creative Craft Cottage - January Blues
Die Cut Divas - Do or Use Something New (Square Dies)
HLS January Challenge - Anything Goes with Dies
Crafting with Dragonflies - Anything Goes
Pixies's Snippets Playground - Anything Goes

Thank You Card

Today, I am sharing a 'Thank You' card which I made in different colours, to thank
the staff in our local hospice, for looking after my
husband so wonderfully before he passed away last month.

When I retired from work, I worked in their Finance office as a volunteer for a few years.
I could see then how fantastic the staff were, but it wasn't until we were actually in need of their services, did I really realise how kind and caring they are and how much
they do for their patients and families. I can only say that they are absolute Angels.

Products I have used:-
Spellbinders Nestabilities - Squares and Scalloped Squares
Lawn Fawn - Large Cross Stitched Square Stackables
Avery Elle Sentimental Stamps - So Very Much
Stampendous - 'Thank You' stamp

Challenges entered:-
Creative Fingers - Anything Goes
That's Crafty - Bling it Up!
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Brown Sugar - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by.
