A Drawstring Bag

I made this little drawstring bag for my great niece for Christmas which I had
completely forgotten to share with you.
As I had bought her a Pom Pom maker, along with some balls of
wool, I thought it would be handy for her to keep it all together in a bag.
I followed a tutorial on YouTube HERE

I stamped the image twice, and coloured the flowers with Promarkers.
I then fussy cut the flowers and adhered them to the stamped panel with silicon glue.

layered the flower panel onto jade green and silver mirri card.
Finally, I added the sequins and pink gems to decorate.

A Fabric Storage Pod

Today, I am sharing a fabric storage pod I made yesterday for my
youngest great nephew.
I was lucky to have a garden visit from him and my niece on Monday, and she
kindly brought with her some leftover material from a set of Aldi fat quarters,
that she no longer needed, so I thought I'd try making something from them.
I used a free, easy to follow pattern that can be found HERE
It was shared recently on a Facebook sewing group I belong to.

I can see myself making a few more of these, as they are great for using up
any leftover pieces of material and will come in handy to use in various rooms
of the house and maybe even one in the car.
The finished size is: 5 ½" x 9 ½" x 5" (13.97cm x 24.13cm x 12.7cm) but
the pattern could easily be adjusted to make larger ones.

A Bit More Time to Craft Challenge #118 - 'Anything Goes'

A new challenge starts today at 'A Bit More Time to Craft Challenge Blog'
where the theme is always 'Anything Goes'

Here is my design team card made using two of the set of
All Change digi papers.
Details of the challenge can be found HERE
where 3/5 randomly drawn winners will each get to choose
3 sets of Lozzy's papers.
Looking for latest Challenge Here Click Badge Below
I came across the technique for this card on YouTube HERE

I’m not sure if there is an official name for this type of card design, but
the couple in the video refer to it as the ‘Scrappy Strip’ technique which I think
describes it perfectly.

It’s a great way of using some of those snippets of card or paper we all
seem to have. I had these set of papers already printed and pieces used,
so it was easy to cut them into the strips and place them on the card.
I have some left to make a couple more.
Challenges entered:-

A Note Book Cover and Sliding Pencil Case

Today, I am sharing a note book cover and a sliding pencil case that I made
for my next door neighbour as a thank you gift.
Whilst being home on maternity leave, she has spent these weeks in lockdown, with
her new baby son, and her daughter who was home from school.
As if that wasn't enough to be keeping her busy, she also found the time on a regular basis
to make sure I was ok, and offering to get any shopping for me if needed.
I've really appreciated her kindness and time. Since she was returning to
work as a teacher this week, I thought both these might come in handy for her.
I followed YouTube tutorials for both projects.
The Sliding Pencil Case can be found HERE and the Notebook Cover HERE

The materials are from
The Cheap Shop in Tiptree, Essex.
