My last card from the 'Make and Take' Fundraiser...

Today, I have the last card to share with you, that I made at the Fundraising
'Make and Take' on Saturday, details of which can be found HERE
I really enjoyed making this card, and was so pleased that everything had already
been die-cut by Kay, who designed this one. She had been very clever (and busy!)
cutting all the shapes needed to put this sheep scene together.
All we had to do was put the pieces together and assemble the card.

She had been very imaginative by using parts of different floral and foliage dies for
their food, and also using parts of flower dies for their feet!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenge:-

Karen, Gill and Kay work really hard designing and putting the
card packs together for these Make and Take's, and all for such a good cause.

Thank you for visiting today.

My 2nd card made at the fundraising 'Make and Take'...

Today, I have the second card to share with you, that I made at the Fundraising
'Make and Take' on Saturday, details of which can be found HERE
I love the stamp that Gill used when designing this card, it could certainly
be used for many different occasions.
I put the card together whilst there, but left the colouring until I got home
when I had more time.
The girls raised a total of £300 for St.Luke's Hospice last Saturday,
which is a fantastic amount.

Do pop back this Saturday to see the last card.

Cardz 4 Galz - All Dressed Up

A Fundraising 'Make and Take' Day

Yesterday, I went along to a local card-making 'Make and Take' fundraiser
where I spent a lovely couple of hours making cards with other 'crafting' ladies.

All the funds raised are donated to St.Luke's Hospice in Basildon.
This charity is one which is very close to my heart and where my husband spent
his last few days being cared for by their amazing doctors and nurses.

The card packs are put together by the very talented Karen, Kay and Gill and you
can choose to make as many of them as you like, making donations for each card made.

Free tea/coffee and cake is served as part of the entrance fee and a raffle is also held.

Here is the first card I chose to make which was designed by Karen.
Later on in the afternoon, I used Karen's design and made
this card for my spares box.
It's certainly a great way of using up the scraps of card or paper
we all accumalate.

The products I have used are:-
Spellbinders Nestabilities Decorative Elements - Lacey Circles
The topper and strips of card were a free gift from Hunkydory
which I have had in my stash for a few years!
Challenges entered:-
Creative Fingers - Anything Goes
Crafty Gals Corner - Add a Flower
Double 'D' Challenge - May Flowers

I will show the other two cards I made over the next few days.

Thank you for visiting today.

Birthday Card - 'Clean and Simple'

Whilst at the Crafting at 'Ally Pally' show in London last month, I watched
a couple of demonstrations using these media plates, which really impressed me.
Back home, I then found some YouTube videos to watch, by John Lockwood and
other crafters and then had a go myself.

After a few attempts, here is a birthday card I made for a 'card-making' friend.

The set contains a square, rectangle, oval and circle and are really easy to use,
and create a lovely effect. I'm going to try using stencils on the plate next.
The products I have used are:-
John Next Door Media Plates
Stamps purchased from eBay
Challenges entered:-
Watercooler Wednesday - Feminine Anything Goes
Papercraft Challenges - Clean and Simple
