A Reversible Handbag

Today, I am sharing my latest sewing project - a reversible handbag.
I followed Debbie Shore’s YouTube tutorial which you can find HERE

This bag has been appearing on a few Facebook groups just recently,
even though the tutorial is just over seven years old. I can see why it’s
been popular to make as it’s a great pattern to make.
There are plenty of free step by step tutorials on Debbie’s YouTube channel,
with really easy to follow instructions.

Making this shaped bag has been good for me as it’s made me learn
 a few new techniques.

The material I used is a set of fat quarters I recently bought
online from Aldi’s

Another Quilted Box

Today, I am sharing a quilted box that I made yesterday, as a small thank you gift
to a kind lady who has donated me this piece of fabric, plus some other lovely
off-cuts, mainly used for making blinds.
One of my friends who I used to work with, knows this lady through her local U3A.
She happened to say to her one day that she would like to
find a home for these off-cuts, when my friend mentioned about my
new sewing hobby!
I have been given a bagful of gorgeous material, lots of different designs
which I'm really looking forward to putting to good use.
Now I just have to wait for this crisis to be over, so I can meet my
friend for lunch to give it to her.

You can see the three others I have made HERE, HERE and HERE

I do love making these boxes, especially as it was my very first sewing project that
Claire from Beautiful Things taught me last year on her Beginners Sewing class.

She is currently offering a selection of online sewing courses, which you can find
on her website, as well as plenty of free tutorials which you can find on her
YouTube channel HERE

A Fabric Easter Bunny

Wishing all my followers and friends a Happy Easter.

What a strange one it will be this year, but thankfully the weather
has been warm and sunny which has been great to get things done in the garden.

Here is a fabric rabbit I made yesterday morning from a free pattern available
on a Facebook sewing group I belong to. It was easy to make and took
no time at all.

A Tea Bag Holder

I have a friend who is a great tea drinker, so when I saw this free tea bag holder

My friend can pop into her handbag, filled with her favourite tea bags to
use when she's out and about.
The free tutorial from Claire at Beautiful Things

I used a piece of the leftover material from the quilted box I made
last year HERE which I purchased from Geoff's Remnant Shop in Brentwood
