A Crocheted Throw Blanket for my Niece

Today, I am sharing a crocheted throw blanket I made my niece for her
40th birthday. I'm pleased to say she loved it.

My plan was for her to start using it late September/October time, when the
weather starts getting cooler, but she's told me that she's used it already,!

I adapted the pattern which I used HERE to make the Infinity scarf.
The pattern consists of just the V Stitch.

I first decided how wide I wanted the throw to be, and then crocheted rows
of the same stitch.

I finished it by adding a small border of double and treble crochet stitches
and then wrapped it with a pretty crocheted blanket tie.

I purchased the yarn online from The CheapShop, Tiptree, Essex.
I used eight 100g balls of Stylecraft Special DK in the colour ‘Spearmint’

Thank you for visiting my blog today.

  5. This is gorgeous and I want to do one! Don't know how to do the stitch you used - any suggestions. Also how to do the cord and the heart. I just started crocheting after years of absence from the craft and am loving it! Once again, your blanket is outstanding!
