Today, I am sharing a crocheted throw blanket I made my niece for her
40th birthday. I'm pleased to say she loved it.
My plan was for her to start using it late September/October time, when the
weather starts getting cooler, but she's told me that she's used it already,!
I adapted the pattern which I used HERE to make the Infinity scarf.
The pattern consists of just the V Stitch.
I first decided how wide I wanted the throw to be, and then crocheted rows
of the same stitch.
I finished it by adding a small border of double and treble crochet stitches
and then wrapped it with a pretty crocheted blanket tie.
Hand crafted cards and sewing projects made for friends, family, bespoke requests and challenges!

A Crocheted Throw Blanket for my Niece
I purchased the yarn online from The CheapShop, Tiptree, Essex.
I used eight 100g balls of Stylecraft Special DK in the colour ‘Spearmint’

Oh Janice it is just lovely and your presentation of it with the tied crocheted trim and hearts is such a lovely touch! Perfect stitching!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous and I want to do one! Don't know how to do the stitch you used - any suggestions. Also how to do the cord and the heart. I just started crocheting after years of absence from the craft and am loving it! Once again, your blanket is outstanding!
