A Crocheted Throw/Blanket for my Great Niece

I am back today sharing the crocheted throw/blanket I made for one of my great
nieces for Christmas.
The one I made for her sister can be found HERE

For this one, I used the same pattern as the one I made HERE, which is
based on the Infinity Scarf pattern designed by the talented Melanie Ham,
who sadly passed away last month, aged 37.

I watched many of Melanie's YouTube tutorials during the first lockdown two
years ago, when I taught myself to crochet. I know I will use many more of her
patterns in the future too. She was a really talented sewer and crocheter
with a huge following.

The pattern is crocheted rows of the V Stitch.
I bought the yarn online from The Wool Box
and used eight 100g balls of Stylecraft Special DK in the colour ‘Lavender’

40th Birthday Card for my Niece

Today I am sharing the birthday card I made for my niece
who celebrated her birthday earlier this month.

As amethyst is her birthstone, I used purple ribbon and card
to make this 'clean and simple' design.

I started  by die-cutting the birthday sentiment in white card, added ribbon
and bow, and attached it onto the base card using 3D foam.

Next, I die-cut the hearts and bow in the purple card, glued directly onto the
card base, adding the silver 40, diamante gems and purple sequin to finish.

The products I have used are:-
Memory Box - Happy Birthday
Memory Box - Precious Hearts
Tiny heart - Magazine free gift

Female CAS Birthday Card

Today's card is one I made for my friend who celebrated her birthday yesterday.

As I haven't made a card using just black and white in such a long time,
I thought I'd give it a try. I came across a design similar to this on Pinterest.

Using snippets of black and white card from my stash, (which I seem to
have lots of!) I die-cut the circle burst die on the white card, and mat and
layered it onto a piece of  black card,

Next I stamped the sentiment and added the punched flower using some
embossed white dot card. To finish, I added a black gem to each corner.

The products I have used are:
Memory Box - Small Circle Burst
Julie Hickey I Need - Everyday Sentiment
Tonic Studio punch - Retro Flower
Crafts-Too mini punch - Daisy

I am entering this card into Snippets Playground #420 - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting my blog today.
