Autumn Colours

Today's card is one I made for the Brown Sugar challenge which this month's theme is

Brown, Orange and Green.

I started by embossing a piece of card with the Spellbinders 3D embossing folder.

I then cut the top part into a square, used a blending brush and
Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink to colour the embossed card.

I mat and layered this onto brown card and then gold mirror card, stamped the
sentiment in brown ink and die cut with label dies.

Sparkly Christmas Baubles

Today's card is one I made using the 'paper piecing' technique.

I used small pieces of adhesive glitter sheets for the baubles.

Unfortunately, it's been a wet, grey day here, so the photos do not show the

shine of the mirror card and sparkle of the baubles very well.

It does look much better in real life! 

I love the sentiment die which I first saw HERE on Pam's blog.

Pam's cards are just stunning, and I must say that blog following can

definitely be bad for my purse!

Gilded Christmas Trees

Today I am sharing another Christmas card, this time using gilding flakes.

I started by die cutting the three trees using card that I had covered with gilding flakes.
Next I glued the trees onto the black punched tags, which I then mounted onto gold
mirror card using 3D foam pads and carefully cut around to make a frame.
Lastly I added the ribbon and dotted the tags with a gold metallic pen.

and blue distress ink. Mat and layered both this and the decoupage

with navy blue and mirror card.

A Christmas Tree Message

Today's card is another Christmas one made for my box.

I used traditional colours this time, although the red backing paper doesn't

look so in the photo!

I used the October challenge sketch over at

 Clair and Sharni Get Crafty! Facebook group for the design of my card.

Unfortunately, I embossed the die-cut rectangle using the wrong side of the

embossing folder, so it's the de-bossed side showing, what's known

as a 'happy accident' I think?

Information re the 'Making Memories Crafting' Challenge Blog

Hi everyone, I just wanted to make you aware as quickly as possible that the
'Making Memories Crafting' Challenge Blog has disappeared from the internet completely.
 This has happened without any notice or reason given to any of the design team.

My post on Friday gave the details of this month's challenge, but I wanted to let you know 

as soon as possible, in case you had already entered a project or were thinking of doing so.

I cannot understand why the blog and challenge owner did not at the very least advise her
team, but it appears she has removed herself from Facebook and deleted her
email address, so it remains a mystery to us all as we cannot contact her.
