Design Team News - Making Memories Crafting

Today I can share some news which I've had to sit on for a little while!

I am excited to say that I have been chosen to be part of the

Making Memories Crafting Challenge Blog design team.

I will be working alongside eight very talented ladies, and we can't wait for the 

first challenge to begin on the 6th January 2017 to share our makes with you.

The challenges will be held on the 1st Friday of every month, where it

maybe a sketch, a mood board, a colour or a theme etc. 

We have some great sponsors onboard and there will be prizes to be won,

as well as awarding Top 3 and Winner badges for your blogs.

Tomorrow, Lorraine and Sonia will start introducing the design team on the blog,

 so do pop over daily and get to know us all.

I do hope my crafty friends and followers will come and join in with the challenges.

My card is one I made recently for a West Ham United football fan.
I die cut the sentiment in claret and silver mirri card, offset them slightly
to make them 'pop' on the card.

This is a card I made for a friend and neighbour of ours, who was celebrating
his birthday yesterday whilst on a Caribbean cruise, lucky fella!

There are plenty of Dinner Jacket/Tuxedo style cards on Pinterest,
which is where I got the idea from, and thought it would be appropriate for David!

I came across Tami's card which I loved and have 'cased' it.
She also has a great tutorial, on making the bow tie with the punch board.

Today, I am sharing my Design Team card made for the
'A Bit More Time to Craft Challenge Blog' where the theme is always 'Anything Goes'.

Layered Poinsettias

Today, I have a Christmas card to share with you. 

When I was shopping yesterday, I noticed the poinsettia plants are already on display.

 I thought I'd make a pontsettia card today, as it's been raining here all day, so giving me 

plenty of time to spend in my craft room!

A Snowflake Christmas card

Today, I'm back with a Christmas card to share with you,
using another die which I recently bought on eBay.

I cut two frames in the green card and glued them together to make it more sturdy.

I then used 3D foam pads to attach it to the card base, which was embossed 

with the snowflake folder. I added Glamour dust to the embossed card, but is
hardly seen in the photo.

30th Birthday Card

Today I am sharing a card I made for my youngest nephew who 

celebrated his 30th birthday yesterday.

He plays five-aside football and supports Tottenham Hotspur, so I wanted to make

something with a football theme.

I lightly inked the embossed card with Faded Denim distress ink, made the rosette

and added the number and the home made card candi.

A Birthday Card for a Two Year Old Boy

Today I am sharing a card I made recently for a friend of mine, to give to her grandson. 

Last month, Hobbycraft sent me an email enclosing a £5 voucher to spend online
 or in-store. Not one to miss out on a 'treat', I went into our local store and put it towards
a set of number dies which I have used on Arthur's card.

I decided to outline the number with a very fine black pen to make it 'pop'.
